That's what I'm looking for. Guys on the forums I was looking through acted like you need a jack to work the pedal. I'm looking to mimic a factory setup as closely as I can since they had the engineering resources that I don't.

Mostly for the "factory-correct" restoration guys. You should see prices for date coded NOS stuff, especially C1-C3 Corvette and B-body MoPar cars. Those spiral Delco shocks are selling at $500 a pair on one site I found, and I've seen my dad pay similar prices for date coded Corvette stuff...

I may be off, I might have the cars mixed up, but I think that car was built from a wrecked car.

Lot of bright work on that one. I like chrome, but what caught my eye is the Delco spiral shocks. A quick search and I didn't find any new repos, but I did see some wild prices on NOS and even old cores seem to be woth money. I have at least 4-8 lying around. I'm sitting on a gold mine...

I actually don't know. I haven't had time to watch much racing over the last 10 or so years. I wouldn't have guessed the carbon rotors light up like steel. That's interesting. I'll have to look into that.

I've always liked brake action shots. Nothing like seeing something pushed hard enough to light up the brakes.

That is something to consider, and I'm sure there are more options in that department for a disc setup if I look into it. On that note, that reminded me of a brake incident I had years ago. I had just woken my Chrysler from another long slumber, got some tires on it and was driving it here and...

With the kits, I keep running into 10.5 and 11 inch rotors, which are based on late '80-early 90s S-10 from what I've found. This seems to be done for the guys running factory 14" wheels, which I will not be doing, and while parts are readily available, I just can't get over a 4,500lb+ car...

And shipping is often significantly higher.

I think I had looked at them. I know I checked out SSBC and CPP. They all offer pretty similar stuff, all 11 inch rotors, and at the same price point. Have you used LEED stuff before?

I have so many comments loaded up.... :sneaky: But back to the brakes. I assume a properly size disc setup with corresponding manual disc/drum master would require the same effort as a manual drum/drum setup, but guys on multiple forums were acting like without a booster the disc brakes were...

@Arthurius Apply the KISS method. I'd start by looking for loose bolts or broken mounts. Then, for the reasons above, I'd assume the T-case isn't producing the noise, so it's somewhere in front of it. Maybe chock-up the tires really well, or lift them off the ground, and run it in gear and see...

That's my thought, and that can be a bitch to track down.
