    "Pacing myself" build

Ahh, yes, the good ole days. I'm going out on a limb a little on this purchase. Funds were a factor, as is the case with a TJ owner. Making a Snowball

Nice color TJ! Looks like you are knocking out a lot of the maintenance stuff. I ran 31's and a 2.5" OME lift when I first started out. A body lift may be in your future. That could help with the fender clearance issue. Wheel spacers may also help. Look into H&R for the spacers. They make good...

    California NorCal Jeep adventures!

My daughter used to live in Dunsmuir. We visited regularly, and would explore the area, camping at the Railroad RV park. Have you been up to Tamarack Lake? That is a fun trail to get to the Lake. The Crags are cool too.

    New to manual questions

Welcome to the TJ life. What part of NorCal are you at? I have a 2003 TJ 5 speed, been driving manual transmission vehicles most of my adult life. I'm in Lake County if you are close and could give you some tips.

I have a dog, I leave her home

I used to ride in the back of my Dad's truck without a seat belt, and drank from the garden hose. The horror!

Jeep sales tanking, buyers say too much tech

A vehicle should never cost more than your mortgage payment, for those that are lucky to have a mortgage these days. This is why I've kept my TJ for close to 20 years now. Compared to a CJ, my TJ has a ton of wiz bang goodies!
