Metal cutting tools: what's really the best option?

We regularly use Hilti cordless 6-1/2" dry cut saws at work, they work great for cutting off erection aids and temporary hand rail brackets that get in the way of installing our work, a recip saw with a carbide blade is plan B if the access is tight, and occasionally a portaband saw but they are...

There’s been 2 of them eating breakfast in my Koi pond lately, had to put a net over it for the sake of the smaller gold fish in there. 🙁

    DrDmoney’s 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport

Don’t know if you can tell from the picture but it looked so much like a heavy rifle barrel that I blued it then clear coated it. Not really simple but not that complicated either.

    California NorCal Jeep adventures!

Wentworth Springs Road to Uncle Tom’s Cabin or Foresthill Road would be good. Foresthill Road goes all the way to Soda Springs but I wouldn’t attempt it unless with a large group. Uncle Tom’s would be ok with a small group and if you don’t hit snow you could keep going to the Rubicon trailhead.

Mines 5yrs old and still working good, they also come with a long USB cord that will power it when the battery is too low. At least on the Zeon it’s that way.

    A rebuild of #miRustyJeep...

All off-roading isn’t just rock crawling and mud (yuck)., it’s nice to take a leisurely trip on dirt roads on BLM or U S Forest land, even better if its a historical trail. I think joining a club is a great idea.

Superintendent for a global curtain wall company. It happens to US made glass too but not as frequently because it’s more expensive they try harder to keep the nickel contamination to a minimum, the Chinese don’t seem to care and the buyer/owner gets a much cheaper building.

Random photos: Got anything interesting, unique, strange?

How does a car’s sunroof “explode?” While it probably sounds like a really weird concept, a sunroof “explodes” when it randomly, and spontaneously, shatters while you’re driving. The reason why this phenomenon has been called an explosion is due to the loud “bang” that the glass makes when it...

That would be a hatch, a sunroof let’s the sun in and keeps the elements out.🤓

They call it spontaneous breakage, probably cheap glass from China with with nickel sulfide inclusions, very common in my industry lately. There is a way to identify it by a pattern it creates at the inclusion.
