What did you do to your TJ today?

    That great, huh?

    Show me your Savvy sliders

Or I could save a step and scuff it on the trail.

    Show me your Savvy sliders

I have some black Raptor Liner left over from another project. Plan is to powder coat the backer gloss black to color match the LJ and possibly PC the slider in a mat, chassis or semi-gloss black for a closer match to the OEM 'black' flares. Does the spray on liner stick to the PC ok if I want...

Thanks. Hopefully they will be behind the Savvy sliders.

Swapping Poison Spyder to Savvy Sliders

Looks like page 174, Post #3473. I'm going to have to recruit a skilled welder or find another way to plug the existing holes. Wide open to suggestions. Thankfully there are no holes in the floor pan for me to plug. What little I know about welding I'm guessing this would have to be done...

Might be a good time for new body mounts and check to see which BL is in it and replace with solid if needed. I've no clue. OEM rubber with Savvy BL pucks?

Swapping Poison Spyder to Savvy Sliders

I found this posted on @Irun thread and ordering: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002XML5HK/?tag=wranglerorg-20 Then I see the probable need for 17/32" rotabroach (annual cutter) and don't see that in the kit. I do find one for $40. Went looking for the thread that contains the discussion...

I'm going to try to dig that up. Is welding the only acceptable option to fill those holes? Were they visible after the Savvy went on?

    GMRS or HAM radio?

If you have an FCC GMRS license you can join https://mygmrs.com/ to see how wrong you are. Repeaters are private property and use can be restricted by the owners. That's what CTCSS codes are for and the repeater owner is not required to share those codes. It's a courtesy on their part to...

    GMRS or HAM radio?

I'll pass it along at our ORV club meeting Saturday. I like having my own call sign. Also, repeater owner's in our area and many others require a call sign for access to their equipment. So far I've gained access to half dozen repeaters that are available from all over this huge area. But...

    GMRS or HAM radio?

No, I've been down that road and it always turned out a bust. Not doubting you. Looking forward to the official confirmation when someone goes to the FCC website to get their license and it's $35. Mine is good for another 5 years. Edit: same info posted on MyGMRS forum. Again, not doubting...

I'm sure you've noticed that I often ask questions before seeking out the obvious answer. I'm working on it..

Swapping Poison Spyder to Savvy Sliders

Yup, I mentioned the shortcomings of the PS to a local TJ buddy with the same sliders and he says, "They're fine for what we do". He's right for the most part but he's off to Moab in April (not with you guys) so I hope he doesn't prove me (you) correct. I can see ugliness if things go sideways.

Holes on the side of the tub? There are 5. I see zero holes on the bottom of the PS. I'll be crawling around under there some more. Could be I'm overlooking something.

I know, I think I want their control arms, too. But the POs Rubicon Express are still in good shape. Gotta rein this in at some point. Sliders were not exactly an impulse buy, since I had the request in months ago, but when they suddenly popped up today my adrenaline rush tells me otherwise.

Swapping Poison Spyder to Savvy Sliders

Honestly, no. It would require new mounting holes in both the bottom of the tub and the PS sliders. Probably not a big deal. The body mounts are all there is underneath on the PS.
