Damn YOU @Irun! i had to rush and get the 2nd of 3 in stock since you snagged #1. I hesitated to even mention they were in stock. Gonna have to go back to the 2nd Best Bumper thread to thank whoever it was that told me they were there.
Hey, what's another grand, right?! Cheaper than fixing...
I deleted that question after having a look at them... sheesh.
Edit: the quarter armor is nowhere near the front of the flares so a non-issue. It's not a full qt. panel.
All I see are 5 bolts in the tub and the 3 mounts under the body mounts on the PS.
Looks like I'll need new holes from...
Post #12 (Bumper question):
Are the Savvy bumpers similar (edit: in design/shape/dimensions - not material) to the old Currie bumpers? This is the 54" version but Currie had a 45" as well. And different hoop options as well. Would like to swap the hood hoop for a winch hoop.
A shot in the dark:
Can anyone tell me if swapping from Poison Spyder sliders to Savvy would end up with a mess for mounting, i.e. would the holes line up, overlap, or other issues?
Looks like Savvy has a few sliders in stock but I don't want to go in blind and end up with regrets. They are...
Wondering if I'd end up with the same bolt hole situation PS - Savvy. Only reason for considering the change is the poor mounting setup of the PS. Disclaimer: this is from info gathered on this forum.. otherwise I'd have been ignorant of the deficiency. Using the body mounts as a mounting...

3 local TJ guys are going the week before the Fest, between events. Couldn't get them to jump in with ya'll.
Edit: Could go early I guess and shop a camp spot. Just not sure how well I'd do multiple days in a dry camp.
Oh hell no! $$$$.
My daughter asked. Something to do with her job. She's works at U of Montana and doing some research on them. Seems they won a 'startup competition' at UM some years back that helped him get going. Says they still do design and engineering out of Missoula. She don't know...
Still wishy-washing about whether I can make TJ Fest. Would have to wing it for a BLM campspot or such. Would trailer the LJ, pitch my new Kodiak tent and camp the old fashioned way.
Bucket list thing for me.. and my bucket is leaking..
What's the general impression of AEV (American Expedition Vehicles)? My kid is asking and I don't know a ton about them.
I do have a trail buddy that bought a 392 max built JKU or such that was a SEMA, show rig. He wheels the snot out of it.
Ya, I'll be going back to full doors seasonally but the new switches will still work. I don't see a downside. Remains to be seen which configuration of doors, bikini, hardtop I run most.
The Mercedes switches are on their way so I'll be going that route. Gives me on/off at the stem and one at each door jamb, works as original with the full doors on, no fuse to R/R, and no 'extra' switches.
Thought I'd get a better reception for this mod.. lol.
And where the hell are the...
