    Heater core recommendation?

This is what I used to wrap around the heater core. Worked pretty well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PYWT92G/?tag=wranglerorg-20 I also replaced the foam panel on the firewall that envelopes the heater and AC lines with this. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B092QV1X6H/?tag=wranglerorg-20

    Heater core recommendation?

As long as everything comes apart ok, you should be good with just the heater core. If you're looking for other maintenance items to do while it's apart you might consider heater hoses, AC lines, or the evaporator core.

    Leaky Heater Core Question

I really hope you're kidding about this idea. lol It's really not that bad of a job to replace the core. If you're like most of us on here, you'll have the pleasure of doing the job more than once. You'll find that it gets easier each time you do it. (y)

I may have swapped the driver and passenger side hoses... not 100% sure on that. It's been a few years. Here's...

Yessir. I find it odd though that CAT DELETED qualifies as "proper operation." :ROFLMAO:

    O2 Sensor Simulators

Interestingly enough, the downstream sensor on the early models apparently only monitors when the converter goes bad. Years ago I had to replace my converter and the downstream O2 alerted me of its poor performance. Fast forward to present day, I've had the CAT removed on my '98 for a while...

Looking for ideas on tethering my dog to roll bar

I unbolted the rear seat belt anchor in the center of the tub floor. Then picked up one of these from McMaster-Carr to serve as a tether point. I don't recall the thread size but you get the idea. https://www.mcmaster.com/eyebolts/system-of-measurement~metric/body-style~with-shoulder/

    Heater core hose setup

The top slider, all the way to the left side is OFF. It should be labeled "O".

    Heater core hose setup

Sounds like you may have an electrical problem? You should be able to turn the fan completely off.

    Heater core hose setup

What would the benefit be for something like this? Other than when the heater core starts leaking.

What else will I need for a lift to fit 35s?

See post #21. @Wildman mentions finding a dyno curve for the 2.8L. That will tell you everything you need to know.

What else will I need for a lift to fit 35s?

That was my first thought also. I guess it just depends where the Cummins 2.8 makes power.

What else will I need for a lift to fit 35s?

Why do you need a new rear sway bar? Are you thinking just the links due to the added lift height?
