That side doesn't look ripped to me. It just looks like they missed the stitches. IIRC, you only put screws in the holes that you removed them from the old top. So if there was one there, then yes, just punch it thru the material. It's possible they missed a hole also.

For those of us that tow our rigs, the handheld units work well. Communication on the freeway is easy for our group then just take the radio with you on the trail also.

Both connections run to the air bag defeat. I'm guessing one is the key switch and the other is the indicator light.

I attempted to do this a few years ago without having all my ducks in a row - obviously I wasn't successful. I remember there being a difference in the head ports but couldn't recall exactly what that was. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. :)
