Assuming you have hard uppers and a hardtop too. Is it common for people to steal half doors where you are? I haven’t met anyone who’s had their doors stolen yet.

That’s the key. Lol. Removing them yourself and bringing them to a locksmith makes it cheap. If they rekey it while it’s in the door it’s a lot more. For me in Raleigh NC it’s still $25/lock at the same place I went to a couple years ago. Another play quoted me $60 for both locks.

ET should definitely give a full refund if the bearing on their website didn’t fit. Usually they’re pretty good at refunds although it definitely depends on who you speak with and if they even understand english.

At a certain point grease can only do soo much. Eventually it’ll just need replacing and if the shaft is too worn, a new bearing won’t do too much.

To all future people who stumble across this thread or for anyone else looking to save a little money on the lower shaft, you can buy the pre 02 shaft and knock out the roll pin in the pic and swap the lower portion over. (The top shaft in the pic is the OEM 03-06. The lower is the 97-02.) they...

Installing an SYE so I don’t need these. Stock OEM rear LJ driveshaft from an 06 auto (will not fit a tj). Stock TC output shaft and housing Free if someone wants them. All in good shape with a little mud. Located in Raleigh NC. Shipping is available at buyers expense.
