the explorer would be smaller than the Jeep for the hub center, and depending on the year XJ 30, you can have either unit bearing. just remove and amazon the ones you need. the Ford and Jeep both used akebono or some weird name manufacture for calipers and mounts, rotors are almost identical...

    2WD/4HI/4LO and fuel economy

there is a formula for PLANK, and BMEP and it has to do with loading of the engine and fuel economy, lugging an engine can use more fuel than higher rpm's. BMEP is brake mean affective pressure and I dont remember the PLANK, but I remember that rpm and load affects economy.

Clogged catalytic converter — trying to track down the underlying problem

Yes the air comes from behind the headlight. That is how they did it on the last years of the CJ with the BBD carb. Pull the cold air. To pass emissions on the YJ and TJ, they used under hood air because it was consistently a smaller range of temperature.

Clogged catalytic converter — trying to track down the underlying problem

I don’t think it’s enough difference on a tj to clog a cat, now a bad o2 will wreck havoc on things

This is why I hate NSG transmissions

The 435 is closer to a bolt in, the ford version has the round output housing and the clutch is the same as the nsg, it would be a tail shaft to get the 23 spline

This is why I hate NSG transmissions

    I would rather do a np435 than the 465,

This is why I hate NSG transmissions

I would but I don’t want to take up anymore garage time if I don’t have to, the rear main seal is my priority before the transmission goes back in. I am so brain damaged from this, if it fails, I will be putting in a Novak ax-15

This is why I hate NSG transmissions

Borescope shows plastic shift rail sliders… disappointing to see the didn’t update to the brass ones like the you tube videos show as the upgrade from hi impact. I pulled the plug before putting in $50 in redline, if this don’t work, I am going to go with an ax-15 probably. Just need to find the...
