Do any of the loaner tool balljoint presses work?

I bought the icon master set since I have a few different vehicles. When we bought the fleet ball joints at napa for my sons 99 xj the ball joint came with a adapter since they are a little different. The ICON press is pretty hd for getting the old ball joints out. Professional Master Ball...

Does the LJ wheelbase have an advantage over the TJ

I have seen build threads where people stretch the wheelbase of the TJ 10 inches. What is the advantage? I know XJ's work well with their wheelbase. If there is an advantage why not just start with a LJ?

What lessons learned did Jeep incorporate on each generation going forward from the TJ?

I built this before I got into jeeps, 85 S10 on a full size Blazer frame. Cut the long bed down to make the body match the wheelbase. 1 ton driveline, sm 465, np205. 42" IROKS 350 SBC. the kids never would wash it when they brought it back.

What lessons learned did Jeep incorporate on each generation going forward from the TJ?

I have a 2003 TJ Sahara auto with the Dana 44 rear. My son has a 2017 JK 2 door Rubicon. I know suspension wise most on this forum feel upgrading to longer than stock control arms is better. The disagreement comes from how much longer but most agree longer is better. I think Jeep paid attention to...

    Paramount Flat Fender Flares

I bought the bushwackers because they bolt on with no drilling and I like how they look. They seem pretty sturdy

    Inside Spare Tire Mount

The 02's are redesigned to address all the complaints about the originals so time will tell. I posted a thread about my 35's getting into my stock rear fenders and how after I put Bushwacker flat fenders on that gave me more clearance there as my tires did not hit the Bushwackers which was the...

    Inside Spare Tire Mount

Its always navigating politics, personalities and ego's. I have him on ignore now so that's good enough.. I used your kit to fix a stripped skid plate bolt when I got my jeep. I appreciate your practical solutions. My jeep is not a daily driver I use it for scenic excursions with my wife...

    Inside Spare Tire Mount

My jeep is not my daily driver. I have them on 15x8 wheels so they don't run flat across the tread at 26psi. I like them. way quieter than I thought they would be but that's prob the 8" wheel. I wanted to try them cause I follow Matts offroad on you tube and they seem to work well for him...

    Bushwacker flat fenders and 35's

I said some of you won't agree (that would be you) but it is working for me. I shared info on how I managed my tire hitting my stock fender. I didn't mislead anyone but accept responsibility for leading you on, yet to be fair I gave you plenty of opportunities to stop before you embarrased...

    Bushwacker flat fenders and 35's

So I'm gone for a few hours and this gives you time to keep trying... If I was to park my jeep in the driveway and start putting weight in the back until the springs compressed enough for the bumpstops to hit then yes the 4" gap to the bottoming pad would taken up. Call that travel or whatever...

    Bushwacker flat fenders and 35's

I watched Charlie Kirk tell a guy, "That's how you tell me you're losing without telling me you're losing". I really liked how good he was at being able to have a discussion with people that didn't share his perspective. Great guy, nothing more to really discuss here. Thanks for your input.

    Bushwacker flat fenders and 35's

Definitely. It's always politics, personalities and ego's that is the biggest hindrance to a workplace or even forum that keep it from being the best it can be. That's why there are moderators to manage those things so this forum can continue to be a great place to share ideas, knowledge and...

    Bushwacker flat fenders and 35's

You used the word uptravel in your response to my original post. My reply used the same word that already seemed familiar to you. That's why I didn't choose other words to describe the suspension compressing and extending. Maybe you should define for us what uptravel means to you so we can...

    Bushwacker flat fenders and 35's

definitely more flex and droop than my setup. Not a apples to apples comparison. Just you saying yours is better than mine which it is. That has nothing to do with my original post. I was just sharing how I solved a problem. You should prob start a thread titled "Who thinks they have a...

    Bushwacker flat fenders and 35's

True, my extended bumpstop prevents that. So yes it does look like more clerance than there is if just looking at the outside not the inside. Flexed I am off the sharp lip. No body lift for now.

    Bushwacker flat fenders and 35's

The other side from the side going up. Looks good to me for not being a long arm setup. 2.5 springs, stock control arms. Good for what it is. If I was going to go full out I would do a long arm like my sons xj. Now that is some droop and uptravel. I like how you are able to state numbers as...
