Thats interesting.... I purchased a used Currectlync and installed the assembly on my '01 TJ. I drive my Jeep as a DD with very light off roading.... When I installed the assembly I made sure I greased the TREs prior to installation and I periodically grease them. The TREs are still working...

You can measure Ohms resistance of the internal coil windings of the relay (pins 85&86); the maximum Ohms should be approximately 70. IF the Ohms across the windings are much more the relay may or may not engage properly. I would also check the relay pins and socket clips for oxidation which...

TJ Hood To Cowl Panel Weatherstrip Options

Could not locate an OEM seal for the TJ so I purchased an OMIX-ADA replacement (55174640AE) which appeared to be better quality than the Crown part (I previously ordered and returned). I checked my maintenance log; the removed part was 50" and the installed part was 66". This seal fits the full...

If you have the factory distributorless ignition using the long coil bar that snaps onto the plugs and the coil bar is bolted to the head; you remove the coil bar, there is a pig tail that connects to the factory wiring harness and then to the Viper ignition coil block. The spark plug wires go...

06 Rubicon - back to the forest we go, but first…

I believe the steering components that Nevada72 was referring to is the 1998 Jeep ZJ V8 steering components which are much cheaper than the Currie steering components and much more heavy duty that the stock TJ steering components. There is reference to the Moog ZJ steering components in the How...

    Golen stroker 4.6 misfire

Is this the Viper coil and spark plug wire conversion ? IF so... the coil spark plug wires can be problematic with bad internal connections. When I did the conversion; the pigtail that goes from the factory connector to the Viper coil pack was wired incorrectly causing a constant misfire. I...

IF you are only planning to drive FSRs then you may consider the OME 2.0 or 2.5" along with RS5000X shocks. My Jeep is an '01 4.0L with a 2" lift, 32" on 17" JK rims and RS5000X shocks.

RockJock Sway Bar Link Rear Bolt Size

The OEM bolt sizes are M10x1.5 and M8x1.25 (factory parts catalog info); you are correct that the Currie extended length swaybar links are designed to use the factory hardware. The video below verifies the use of factory hardeware when installing the exteded length links.

    Radiator fan hitting shroud

IF you have an automatic transmission; you can test the engine mounts by placing the transmission in D, hold the brake and apply a little bit of gas pedal. IF the engine tilts too much then the engine mount rubber is separating and the mounts need to be replaced. I would inspect the transmission...
