Computer nerds, give me some advice.

Happy to help. The biggest consideration here is how important syncing to local drive is vs a cloud solution? A cloud solution can be encrypted and secure. Cloud approach would make solving this problem easier and more reliable. If you are insistent on local drives then lets talk through...

Not really. I won’t drive the jeep if it’s going to be pouring rain. And always have a top on anyway. If I end up having water in the tub up to the rear seat, a few hundred bucks of a subwoofer is going to be my least of my concern. Re: traffic lights, yes. It’s way easier. Add the bigger...

My truck has sat unmoved since last Saturday. I did my usual weekend fill up and then got the jeep out. And haven’t stopped driving it since. Ended up removing my Buchanan precision 1.5” blocks from the front seats. I loved them with the factory console, but I switched that out for a tuffy...

Computer nerds, give me some advice.

Services like one drive (if you use excel, word), google drive (if you prefer sheets/notes) work well. Alternatives can be dropbox, sharefile if you need enterprise-y type capabilities or icloud if you are an apple guy. Based on the above, Id assume not an apple guy and something like one drive...

be careful with AMD processors. Most software you want to run works on both, but you can accidentally made a big compromise if you arent explicit about what software you need to run. If they have everything you need, then by all means, go for it.

Yeah.....they arent horribly rusted but are pretty shot. Maybe I can tap the last 2. Its worth a shot I guess before I break them off.

.....yeah I read the install instructions last night to see how much of a PITA it would be. I dont have new house set up to weld yet or Id jump on that.

The rear sway bar nuts on the axle housing. 1 was missing when I purchased. and the other 3 are completely shot. The threads are completely torn up. Looks like previous owner put wrong bolt in and then was able to get it out before reselling to me. I would like to remove the last 2 nuts. I...

I built a new dana 44 when I did my regear and swapped it in 7-8 months ago. The nuts for the rear sway bar were junk/stripped/missing. Ive been able to break 2 off so far hitting with a chisel and hammer but is there some less dumb way of doing this? I want to break the tac welds off so I can...

Luckily that assembly is no longer on the jeep. That adapter thing was causing my issue with the snubber spacing and was removed!

Do you carry spare fluids daily driving?

No. Jeep is never more than 30 min away from home (unless truck/trailer is with me). Few weeks ago had a break down and got uber to my house to pick up truck. Drove to parts store and fixed jeep on side of road. I would carry on an actual road trip with just the jeep. But I don’t take Jeep on...

Finally took Jeep on highway. 45 miles. Jeep did awesome. First time it’s been on highway (not on a trailer) in more than 2 years Had a very rude local shop owner tell me 5.13s would be unusable on the highway with my auto 2 yrs ago when I seriously started build Sir you were wrong. It’s great

In todays "just because you can, doesnt mean you should". I have the morryde tailgate reinforcement kit most of us have. Originally installed 2 years ago at least. I installed the snubbers and they were way short. At least 4" all the way around. Seemed odd but I had bigger problems at the time...

What did you do to your TJ today?

I have a license plate relocation kit in front of my spare tire. Took tire and plate off few days ago to work on extending snubbers. Current snubbers are few inches short with tailgate reinforcement kit I installed. Like always, didnt finish project, but wanted to get jeep out of garage. Threw...

Grabbed a set of arm rests from @Claytone. 2 second install. My passenger door opens to a work bench so no pictures there. Took Jeep out for a 20 minute drive and loved the extra spot to put my arm. I’m sure my wife will like the passenger side too!

What did you do to your TJ today?

I am almost done with gear break in for my LJ. 5.13s with e lockers. revolution in the rear and US Standards in the front. Out of curiosity, drained oil in rear and ran a pattern (after pulling shafts and brakes). Pattern was perfect. Just like when I buttoned it up.

    Dana 30 Re-gear, Pattern Check

I could be wrong, but I didnt think there was an actual crush sleeve eliminator kit for a tj dana 30, just the JK 30. Make sure its for the right housing before you buy it. I bought ecgs setup bearings/races 2-3 yrs ago (before I had all my own tools). You can build your own setup bearings in...
