    New Tool Day

Oh I don’t disagree one bit. I work for a dealership group of one of these ag tractor manufacturers and personally own a pre-emissions tractor. Well aware of the shit show and the current Administration placing blame to the manufacturers instead of looking in-house to the EPA that mandated...

    New Tool Day

other way around, but yeah. Over 25hp requires some kind of treatment. Lower HP usually gets away with just a DPF. Higher HP requires DEF injection to meet the standards. Depends on the manufacturer but the cutoff is usually around 50hp to whether it needs DEF injection.

    New Tool Day

DEF and DPF are different. Most under 50hp units do not have DEF, only a DPF. Depends on the manufacturer though.

25hp and under isn’t subject to emissions. The new BX25 shouldn’t have DPF either.

Kubota bought Great Plains and Landpride a few or 10 years ago. Ironically they see the value that those brands carried with Deere dealers and haven’t discontinued those relationships, at least in my area. The local Deere dealers are the named Great Plains distributors vs the Kubota dealers...

Barnett cover: is this a problem?

They’re going to route them wherever is fastest that they don’t think will cause warranty issues. Time is money in production.

Barnett cover: is this a problem?

Could you route the airline up and on the right side of the bearing cap and cross above it to the fitting? Seems like that would get it out of the pinch zone if you have it back in that recess. For the bottom, let it self clearance or take a grinder to it and bevel it.

Show me what's custom on your TJ

I built something similar in my LJ, but the rear seat still fits. The top uses the rear roll bar bolts and the front of it has a frame made of 1x1 steel that shares the rear most seat mount bolts. Locking the tailgate makes it secure enough for what I need it for. Also added E track to the...

    Tool deals

Finally picked up the Bauer electric cut off tool. ITC price of $20. Worth a shot. I’ll give it a spin over the weekend.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Meh, I pretty much was on the same path till 25 and was 29 when I had kids. But maturity was all down hill after that.

What did you do to your TJ today?

I’m a firm believer that maturity peaks at 30. You spend your 20s trying to prove your adulthood with careers and kids. By the time you reach 30 you figure it out and it wasn’t cracked up to be all that it was portrayed to be and dick and fart jokes start to be funny again.

    Basket's Build

You’d have to move your axle back to get more tie rod clearance. I’d bet your drag link is bent. For the engine skid, are you 100% sure your axle is centered? Lastly, do you wear earplugs when you drive? :ROFLMAO:

    Basket's Build

I don't know if you "should", but if it were mine, I would unless there is noticeable uneven wear. It's not like you are introducing a new pad to a used pad, you're just correcting the orientation you messed up on the initial install, they've all been in service for the same amount of time...

How many times is that now? Better get that other lug off so you can take both tires off at the same time to swap them!

Do any of the loaner tool balljoint presses work?

My local Autozone rents the puller as well as the master adapter kit. Not sure it’s identical to the Jeep specific adapters but there was enough variety in there to make it work.

    Powersaws - what's everyone using?

While us LS powered rigs don’t need a 3 foot bar to compensate, we do prefer a solid 12”. I carry an electric Stihl, I think it’s the MS120. Does well for trail work.

For all of us with two wheels also

The wife was pretty stoked to be able to get herself and her brothers all on bikes at the same time so we did a day after Christmas cruise since it was in the mid 50’s. Left to right, yours truly, wifey, bikeless bro-in-law on the donated Buell, bro-in-law youngest on his Kawi 650 we had just...
