Is your 78 HP44 out of a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton? If 1/2 ton might as well sell it now, the radius arm wedges are a cast section of the tube, not welded and is virtually impossible to do anything with other than put it in a radius arm Ford.

I’d at least look into that shallower pan, looks like it nets 1.05” of clearance, that’s quite a bit. That break in the front of the skid that you’re taking about cutting off adds a lot of strength to it.

Are you already locked and geared? If not probably be cheapest just to find a later model takeout and do an axle swap to one that has rear discs already.

Definitely post up your results. I’ve never tried them on anything larger than a motorcycle. I’ve used Counteract brand on my motorcycle and they recommend 14 oz for the 37’s so I was going to try that. I’ll probably mount one up without first and throw it on the balancer to see how far off...

I run them in my motorcycle and have no complaints. I’m going to try them with these wheels too.
