    ECM reporting 100% throttle?

OK here's an update. Long story short as I was moving wires around checking the harness and I guess I was lucky enough for the flywheel to be in the perfect position to trigger the crank shaft position sensor. I noticed the auto shutdown relay clicking on and off as I was moving wires around...

    ECM reporting 100% throttle?

1999 2.5L 5 Speed With key in the run position but engine not running ECM reports 18 to 80% throttle range when Fully depressing pedal and releasing. However, as soon as I start the engine and let it run, I get a check engine light (P0123) and the ECM reports 100% throttle no matter what, even...

    Full Time 4WD?

Oh cool, how involved is it? Do you have to change driveshafts and everything?

    Full Time 4WD?

Just a question out of curiosity. Are there any transfer cases for the TJ That would give you full-time four-wheel-drive. I guess it would have a differential in it. Just asking because I had a 76 CJ with Quadratrack full time 4x4 and the center differential could be locked with a vacuum switch...

    ASD Relay and Fuel Pump

Ok Wasn’t sure about that. Thanks

    ASD Relay and Fuel Pump

The only way I can get my fuel pump to stay on continuously is if I remove the 30 amp fuse (#6) for the automatic shutdown relay. As soon as I remove this fuse, the fuel pump kicks on and stays pumping into the container. I’m pretty positive the cam position sensor test, good and the crank...

    95 2.5L into 99 2.5L

How easily would a low mileage 2.5L from a 95 YJ fit into a 99 TJ 2.5L chassis? Go!

    Bad ECM?

Hi All, Got some weird symptoms on my 99 2.5l 5 speed SE. So it died on me on the way home from the trails. Sandy stuff, no water, nothing extreme. It started sputtering then died. As I was coasting I let out the clutch and was able to get it running for a few more minutes until it gave up...

Can anyone tell me what this hose is on 2.5?

It will cause a high idle and a lean mixture. My exhaust manifold got cherry red running like that.

Can anyone tell me what this hose is on 2.5?

Just some input on an old thread… I had capped off the small hose connector on the valve cover and the larger one on my intake manifold on my 2.5l due to hose ends being cracked. I was experiencing a lot of pinging which I thought was the classic piston slap in these engines and noticed oil...

    Soundbar speaker options

Gosh, tough to remember… I have links to the dash pods in the post, so then it would be the front 5 1/4 speakers $70?, rear speaker pods ( to be installed). I paid $100 for the two rear pods that I’m upgrading to. I really hope it will sound more accurate and clear with them. I really don’t like...

    Soundbar speaker options

In my 99 SE, I went with an Alpine CDE-172BT head unit with their "power pack" KTP-445A module that increases the output to 45 x4 watts. I also installed Select Increments pods (Dash Pods) in the dash with 5.25" Alpine coaxial. I put 6.5" Alpine Coaxial in my Vertically Driven rear sound bar...

What brand of tires should I go with?

Hi, here is a great site to see what offset/backspacing will keep your tires under the fenders. Offset Calculator I like mine tucked in the stock position as well. It had 32" tires that stuck out about 2 inches when I bought it. I went to a 31" tire with American Racing Baja 172 rims in 15x8...

    Where did this come from?

Sure does! How did that happen? Thank you!

    Where did this come from?

So I’m changing my connecting rod bearing on my 99 2.5L and as I’m turning the crank, this thing falls to the floor. I can’t confirm it came from inside the engine though. Any thoughts as to what is is and it’s function? Thanks, Chris

1999 2.5L SE - Idle speed changes when moving damper switch position?

So, I ordered a used climate control module for my 99 SE that does not have A/C. After I put it in, I noticed that the idle changed with the position of the damper just like a car with A/C does. I don't think it did this with the original unit. I'm Just curious if anyone else's "Non A/C" TJ does...

Oil at 80 lbs. on 4.0?

Mine did it today, all the way up to 80psi. Stopped at O'reilly and picked up the "Standard" brand oil pressure sender and it is working fine now at around 40psi. I used a 22mm deep socket and it worked great.

Help me find picture of a red TJ with white steel wheels

White Wheels 1 White Wheels 2 White Wheels 3 White Wheels 4 I'm considering one of these. I run 31x10.5R15 and I like the wheels tucked in under the fenders, so a +6 or +13 offset works for me. As far as I can tell a 10.5 inch tire is the max width you want to put on a 7 inch rim. Anyone run...

    Squeaky Clutch

No, my noise is always there. It's got to be a pivot bushing or mounting bracket flex or something like that in my case. It's not as loud as yours though. Yours definitely sounds like it is coming from the pedal assembly. It sounds like the pitch is changing as the pedal travel changes. Or...
