No. Spray it with Liquid Wrench if it seems stuck. My wife's WJ wouldn't shift into 4WD when we bought it. I got the seller to drop the price $500, then sprayed the linkage after I bought it. Works great.

Those KJs were the perfect size vehicles IMO. Not too small or big (like a WJ). I bought two for my wife and they were great in snow with some MT tires. Her 03's transmission went out while I was driving it, so I had to buy her a WJ to replace it. :confused:

Prices for parts is ridiculous IMO. p.s. Go with the Zone 4.25" combo lift with Rancho RS5000X shocks instead of the 4" with their stiff nitro shocks. I've had this lift on several of my Jeeps, including my current one.

Moog bushings and Rancho rs5000x or Skyjacker Black Max shocks. Any shocks will ride better than those old RC 2.2 shocks. You really need to measure the shocks for the correct length. I'd also ditch that drop pitman arm for a stock one. Wouldn't hurt to do a V8 ZJ tie rod upgrade too...
