    New LED Headlights

Bump. Larry, I'm having the same exact issue. Did you ever figure this out? It's quite annoying and I have to keep double checking that I don't actually have my high beams on whenever I'm on the highway.

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

Pictures are worth a zillion words. This makes everything we've been discussing so much clearer. Thank you so much for all the help - I feel like I will now be able to discuss all of this with my mechanic at least half intelligently and make sure it's done the right way to protect everything.

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

That's great, a pic would be very helpful if it's not too much trouble. Gotcha, thank you for clarifying. Yeah, the black ones i have on there are pretty solid, not a softer foam. Thanks again!

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

That's great, thank you for the link and instructions - saw those but didn't realize they could be used for this purpose - i wouldust use them as spacers under the cups once we cut them to the right length? I think the shop will be willing to measure it (might have to pay a little extra but...

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

Given my situation, what do you think about ordering the longer jounces that can be cut down to have on hand so that they can measure the proper length while putting everything on and that way at least having something that can be made the right length for now and then maybe getting spacers that...

Thank you, really appreciate the insights. Learning a ton on here everyday!

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

Wow, that seems to make a lot of sense to me. I've gotten recommendations from a could folks to get both of the shorter ones and from a few folks (and Rancho) to get both of the longer ones, but you're thinking outside the box with the combo suggestion. Thanks! This seems like a dumb...

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

Thank you very much for putting that together! Question: for the rear shock i was advised (by Rancho) to get the RS55241, not the RS55128 - were you suggesting the RS55128 instead or was that unintentional? Thanks again

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

I know that would be the best way to do it but I've got physical limitations stopping me from doing the work myself so I'm having the work done at a shop, so need to have parts there all at once (don't want to pay them to take it apart, take measurements and put it back together while i order...

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

Just spoke with Rancho again - they're advising me to add 1.5" or 2" bump stop spacers in the rear and nothing in the front. So basically I'm now confused again... Any thoughts on that advice? Really appreciate everybody's help on here!

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

Thank you for explaining... Things are starting to make more sense for me. So something like these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002P8XQD8/?tag=wranglerorg-20, but for front and rear and the right length based on what Rancho advises when I call them back? Btw, i spoke with them a little...

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

Thanks - that's what I was thinking... I'm probably going to call Rancho this morning to confirm that they think those shocks will work with a 2" lift even though they're listed in some places as being for a 2.5" (and in other places as being for 2-3" lifts). I know this is relatively simple...

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

Thank you, that makes total sense and I hadn't thought about it that way (always thinking that a lot of the comments I read on here are geared toward off road driving but you're right about hitting debris or imperfections in the road at highway speeds may be just as important). What i have on...

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

K-Huevo, thanks, that's similar to what I've read from others. Even in this thread somebody says that they definitely can't be used for more than 1.5". I'm starting to think I'll just bump up to a 2" spacer to get a little closer to the target height for the second level (2.5" lift) Ranchos...

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

That's what i had been thinking, that for on road use (95% of the time for me) I'd probably be better off long than short (at least for ride comfort) and would be unlikely to bottom out unless i fall asleep and hit a monster speed bump in the Wally world parking lot, but I know that Jerry knows...

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

Fair enough. I know that's the right way to do this (based on the very helpful info I've read here), but probably not in the cards for me...given my limitations I'll probably just take your advice and play it safe by possibly being a little short. Thanks again, i appreciate it.

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

Thank you - i know I am over thinking and appreciate your patience. I think my pref would be to just up the spacers to true 2" spacers and stick with the longer shocks. Is that a good solution it do you think those shocks will still be too long? Thanks again for your help.

    Rancho RS5000X Shocks

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. I've heard the same thing that they run long, but my hesitation is that the actual Rancho site lists them as being for 0 lift (the Amazon Seller is listing them as 0-2, possibly to make them more saleable to a broader range of buyers) and I've read in...

    31" tires with 2-3" lifts?

That's great to hear! Really appreciate it!

Thanks, i appreciate the advice. Getting some conflicting responses - do you think I'd be ok either way?
