    Subwoofer install ideas?

I was thinking about that. I do plan to install it. I am trying to figure out a very discreet place to mount it. I want it reasonably easy to get to, but out of sight for prying eyes.

    Subwoofer install ideas?

Will do! I ordered my Rockford Fosgate PS-8 from Crutchfield today. Hopefully I’ll get to install the full new system over the weekend.

    Subwoofer install ideas?

When the sub is installed in the back seat, where and what is everyone running the ground wire to?

    Subwoofer install ideas?

That sounds like an easy fix then. Glad to hear it. I’ll cut my plywood to be the full length and that should take care of it. I’ll still do the grooves like you did and may try to do the strap thing. Thanks for the help!!

    Subwoofer install ideas?

Ha! I bet that will rattle teeth. I’d like to have that set up, just not practical for how I have my Jeep set up.

    Subwoofer install ideas?

How do you think a single Hideaway would perform in a Jeep? I don’t need to rattle windows, I just want some low end in there to make the tunes sound good.

    Subwoofer install ideas?

My little girl loves “Daddy’s Jeep”. I keep mine in so she can ride every now and then. But if I didn’t, console seems like the next best location.

    Subwoofer install ideas?

I’ve been brainstorming and searching, and I found this picture below on another forum. It gave me some ideas. Option 1. Cut a new length of plywood that would fit in the full front to back width of the seat, this would basically lodge it between the forward and aft large metal supports and...

    Subwoofer install ideas?

Great info, thank you! I’ll do some brain storming and see what I can come up with. There has to be a somewhat simple solution to keep it centered. I’m with you on using every bit of available space. I just got a Tuffy tailgate security enclosure to keep a few things somewhat secure behind the...

    Subwoofer install ideas?

That’s very true about the Sound Ordinace reviews on Crutchfield. It may come down to a coin flip for the Kicker and RF. They both seem to be great products. For your install....did you use a router to cut the grooves for the metal straps? And you use nothing but the grooves to hold the...

    Subwoofer install ideas?

Awesome. I’m guessing because of the way that you mounted it, there is no change in how the seat feels to sit on? I’m looking at the Kicker 11HS8 Hideaway, Rockford Fosgate PS-8, and the Sound Ordinace B-8PTD. Trying to figure out which is the most robust design to hold up to a rougher offroad...

    Subwoofer install ideas?

@JMT I’m really thinking about trying this. Have you or @Rob5589 had any issues with the smaller powered subs over heating with them being zipped up under the rear seat?

    32s vs 33s: Let’s see em!

Nice! If I was going to start all over I’d go with that 4” Currie lift and the Currie extras for sure. I’ve been super happy with the spring perch relocation. Crazy how much better the ride got.

    32s vs 33s: Let’s see em!

Man that is one clean good looking Jeep! I like the blue and black as much as red and black. You and JMT have perfect stances in my opinion.

    32s vs 33s: Let’s see em!

Thank you! I need to take some better pictures. Here is another one, from today. Hopefully it will give you a better idea of its stance.

I’ll play picture whore too, though not as nice as most of y’all pics. This is all I have on the phone at the moment.

    32s vs 33s: Let’s see em!

Ha! You might get some donations. I didnt extend the brake lines. When we did the flex test, the brake lines were not fully stretched out, so I think I’m ok there. May be something for me to do down the road though. After the arms were installed, I knew it was money well spent. I was...

    32s vs 33s: Let’s see em!

Killing me!! Just when I though about it all day and figured that I’d be ok with 32’s, you went ahead and posted more pics! Damn that looks good! Guess it’s back to more thinking.
