So a couple of years back I left the tail fan with my friend and guide over in the Lake Roosevelt area and it arrived unannounced. I finally got it mounted and on the wall a 21 pound Merriam's turkey.
We ran both CB and GMRS this week exploring a new forest road where heavy logging was going on, most of the log trucks and shovel operators use CB and that will help keep you from getting run over, but another group that was setting up the haul out areas and logs was definitely using GMRS. Since...
A real surprise arrived today via UPS, this one was shot three years ago at least and my friend and guide just finished it and sent it to me. Some where near Lake Roosevelt WA and a Merriam's around 21 pounds. Going on the wall
You might try this for the CB it works well for me I can not tell any difference in transmit/receive and yes that is the entire cb hooked up to a rear mount 3 foot firestick Have had almost 6 miles line of sight rx/tx. It is held in place with Velcro to the side of the emergency brake housing...
Hey Jerry long time since I have posted. Yes my CB has and does well for what it is but up here many are going to the GMRS system (specifically one club I belong to) so I just added another tool.
Different areas and circumstances here but it is not just distance in a group some are using bubble pack hand held and some CB the GMRS and the CB keep me in touch with 99% on the trail!
I still use mine in the woods as the loggers use their CB when hauling logs out, but I added GMRS as it is a better platform both in the woods and on the road. With repeaters popping up everywhere the distance then goes up too for example I can talk through a repeater 50 miles away to someone...

This is part of the WADBR section two highway 410 the back way to Ellensburg WA. I did 10 short videos on You tube of the whole route. This is just under 5000 foot elevation and is a clip from the video the road is really rough but not technical, taken with my cell phone!
You can go to their app on the store to get the vehicles they support I am not sure on the TJ but there are PIDS available and it might be for your YEAR and MODEL.
