I just looked my jeep up on the build sheet and see that my 2000 tj 2.5L has a AS72 transmission. Is this the same as an ax5? I always thought I had an ax5. I’ve included the part of the build sheet . Are they the same, if not it’s one better than the other?

What method is used to remove the paint off the fender flares? Sand paper? If so what grit? I am lost on the best way to restore them. I really don’t want them shiny on a old tj. I would prefer a bed liner style or mat finish. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
