Just ordered 2 kits. One for the TJ and the daily driver XJ...

how I feel about the XJ crowd. Most of them have no idea how iconic a vehicle they're driving. So surprised when I do get a wave, don't have time to react.

Just as I was wondering if the Jeep wave is most tightly knit among the TJ/Wrangler community, I need wonder no more. First test drive in months, coming back from the parts store, only other TJ I see, has to wave. Will say much easier with half doors ✌

One on the right covered in anti seize is a junkyard XJ piece. You can see how the TJ is 1/4" or so taller. Turns out it needs that clearance. Ended up pressing the rotor tight against the knuckle. Was wondering why I couldn't properly torque the lug nuts. Or couldn't get it move out the garage.🤬

To any other TJ virgins out there, your old XJ sealed hub units will not fit on your LP TJ front. Yet another reason I should've just swapped in my HP 30...

Yep. 6th 2.5L rig. 1st in a TJ.

Getting there slowly. Cooling, steering, and exhaust systems done. SYE installed. Driveshaft in shop. Thinking of re gearing my XJ front. The LP TJ front is pretty hammered.

thanks. Got the boot, new knob, and replacement rubber bombshells in the mail. Hopefully get here before the holiday weekend.

Happy to have the exact opposite problem. Every component leaking every type of fluid. Probably cheaper and easier to fix in the long run....

Anyone know if they still make replacement shift boots? Know quadratec has a habit of sending me the wrong one...

So I've never had the space or budget for nice air tool setup and probably never will. That being the case how am I to the front yoke from spinning so I can remove the 1" 1/8 nut on my SYE install??? Quick and easy. A badass homemade yoke wrench. Breaking loose and reinstalling and re torque...

Had these stickers fabbed up after some waste of life stole/destroyed my favorite XJ. Not even being cute. Seriously hope they're dead.

Know from my experience that shifter towers bolt patterns are different between AX 5 and AX 15. Tried putting a Dakota straight shifter in one of my 4 bangers. No go. Wouldn't fit with the floor console in my MJ ethier. Do like the idea of a straight handle Hurst type shifter though...:-)

Was pretty faithful to Johnson controls, until they started manufacturing Optimas in Mexico. When time comes to upgrade and install winch, probably try another Deka AGM type...

Gave $2600 and change for this one. Bought out of a junkyard. Complete, but plenty rough. 220,000 miles and pretty piss poor maintenance.
