Bump Stop And Shock Length Clarification

I've had a 3" zone lift for 10+ years and I want to replace the shocks (RS5000X) and springs (already have BDS 3" front and 2" rear springs) as well as properly setup my bumpstops (hockey pucks) seeing as I've highlined and gone to 35s. I've been referencing the great threads from Fuse but still...

    Steinjager cargo net feedback

I have Dirty Dog netting and its great. The best part is that it has buckles at the back so you can easily open it up to access the rear of the tub, doesn't looklike the Steinjager has that.

    Homebrew suspension setup?

I feel like someone posted about a rear lift like this in the last month or so and I'm not sure it was ever identified. I know that's not really much help but maybe you'll feel better knowing you're not alone.

Upgrade Steering box or rebuild stock with seal kit?

Yes you can get them with or without ports. Last year the one without ports was actually more expensive, my mechanic figured its because its less popular.

Upgrade Steering box or rebuild stock with seal kit?

I went through two stock steering boxes and decided to bite the bullet and upgrade. I went with the PSC box and have no regrets, the steering feels amazing and I feel like it even improved the way my Jeep goes down the road. These boxes also have ports on them so you can upgrade to hydraulic...

Leaking Dana 44 rear axle seals

Rear disc brakes don't make much of a difference in stopping power, thats pretty widely accepted. However maintenance is easier, thats my opinion.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Finally got my Moryde carrier finished up and then took it for the first drive of the year. It was only about 15 minutes but everything seemed fine after sitting for the winter. Going to take it to a buddy's cottage tomorrow about 2 1/2 hours away, looking forward to the drive.

    Flush mounted tail lights

I've had these for a few years and they work great, no complaints whatsoever. Don't remember what I paid but they weren't $190 thats for sure. https://www.grote.com/signal-lighting/stop-tail-turn-lights/4-round-led-stop-tail-turn-lights-with-integrated-backup/

    KBS rust seal

Worked on coating some more stuff today. I doubled up some plastic wrap and hammered the can closed with a piece of wood as a buffer of course, the lid came off fine and the paint looked perfect after sitting for a few days. I used a foam brush today cause thats all I had and I think it worked...

Would you own a JK/JL instead of a TJ, if money was not an issue?

Interesting, don't get me wrong I would get a real truck as well if I was planning on getting something to tow my TJ. I just figured this was a hypothetical with a free JK/JL/JT up for grabs.

Would you own a JK/JL instead of a TJ, if money was not an issue?

Instead of my TJ? ...no. I know I'm not following the rules but if money wasn't an issue, I'd get a JT to tow my TJ.

    Relocated GPS best mod ever!

Is that a tablet? How big is it and does it work well up there? I'm still trying to figure out the best spot for mine.

Mount 38" spare in the tub

AEV has a vertical mount that looks like it could be universal. https://www.aev-conversions.com/product/vertical-tire-mount/

Mount 38" spare in the tub

Nomaybes brings up a good point, will a 38 even fit in the tub? My 33 spare doesn't have too much room. JCR makes a pre runner style tire carrier, I think the difficult part will be making it removable but solid and safe. Maybe mount some studs in the floor and fasten it with wing nuts? ...but...

What rear corner armor are you running?

The short trail corners would do the trick for me, it doesn't look like they have any emblems on them but that doesn't really bother me anyways.

What rear corner armor are you running?

Warrior Products and Poison Spyder make some basic corner guards, I don't think they make them in aluminum but I'm probably going to go with the PS ones to cover up my blemishes.

    KBS rust seal

Have you used the KBS stuff yet? I gave it my first go yesterday on a few small rust spots on my stock tire carrier just to get my feet wet. It seems like good stuff, although obviously I don't know how well it will actually hold up but it seems pretty solid. I had two possible issues: I don't...

Looking for the best lift kit

It depends on a number of things but your use and how much you want to spend will be the biggest factors. Will you be taking your Jeep off road much? What size tires would you like to run in the end? Once you get over a 3" lift with just suspension you're going to need to modify quite a bit...

Found the JK fix and it actually looks awesome

I've seen one of these stretched JKs in person and they are awesome. A shop nearby built it and they've done a lot of intense builds. Here's what they have to go through to make it happen. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=rockspyder4x4&set=a.2028326317254908

    Wide Open Design

Man they make some cool stuff. I've seen The Grubb JL on Flex Rocks and Rollovers and it is one capable Jeep, if you can even call it that anymore.
