    What gas do y'all use?

No real idea. Every bike mechanic I’ve asked said to run it, so I do. It’s not really more expensive, considering I’m only buying a couple of gallons at a time, LOL!

    What gas do y'all use?

That’s what I thought. The only thing I’ve ever used high octane gas for is my Road King. If I don’t put 93 or better in there it’ll knock like the Big Bad Wolf. :P Thanks for all of the input and confirmation, folks.

    What gas do y'all use?

I’m a cheap SOB so I always go straight to the cheapest gas I can find and that seems to work okay. I’ve been thinking of upgrading to mid-grade or better. I have the little 2.4L and it could probably use a tad more octane, but I can’t seem to find any info on it. What grade gas do you all use...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Thanks, but I think it’s just fine the way it is. There’s something pretty about the ugly, if you know what I mean. I just showed it to my wife and she’s over the moon about it. $35 for her to have her cup holder? Yeah, she’s a happy camper. ;) Thanks again. I owe you one.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Tom, you rock!! I got the cup holder version and it’s perfect. It’s not the right color but I couldn’t care less. Best of all, now my wife is happy with the Jeep again. She can bring her Diet Coke with her, LOL!

What did you do to your TJ today?

Nice! Those look like decent options. The console might break the bank but I like the cup holder solution. I might have to go for that. Thanks!

What did you do to your TJ today?

New headlights. I think it’s so odd that the factory originals are so pathetic yet they still use them. Now I need to figure out what to do about the console. The rear half of it was missing when I bought it so I screwed a .50 cal ammo can between the seats, which is better than nothing but the...

The Ham & CB Radio Thread

When I was growing up my father owned several different CB radio stores. It was a big thing back in the day. Now less than half of the truckers use it, with cell phones and Sirius satellite radio, etc being the technology of today. I grew up with CB like it was another family member. My father’s...

    All 8's on odometer

Thanks guys. I’ll keep looking for a reputable source to fix it. It’s not a big deal since I’m not planning on selling it (ever) but it would be nice to know when the oil needs changed. :-)

    All 8's on odometer

My odometer reads all 8’s. I bought it this way so I’m not concerned with how it happened, I’m just looking to fix it if possible. I did a little research and the only helpful info I’ve found so far is that there is a guy on eBay who will fix it (and reset to whatever I want) for about $125...

    2003 Sport Wrangler

I got the bumper off Amazon and had the guys at Leonard’s trailers install it. That made sure that it was wired correctly and I didn’t have to break my back, LOL! Tires are stock. I’m planning on replacing them because they appear to lose air and are starting to rot a bit...

    2003 Sport Wrangler

I did replace the rear bumper to add the function of the hitch, but that’s about it.

    2003 Sport Wrangler

This is my stock, wrecked and fixed TJ. 4cyl, straight drive, no back seat. Only accessory is the LED interior lights (the BEST) and a fire extinguisher.

Okay, Jerry. I took your advice and ordered one off of eBay for $65 shipped. Thanks for the advice.

Need replacement jack for stock TJ

Thanks, that’s a good question. I thought they would come complete but looking at them they really don’t, so they.

Need replacement jack for stock TJ

Thanks, Jerry. I’ve seen those on eBay and from what I can tell that’s pretty much my only option other than buying a bottle jack and welding on a steel U to the top. I was hoping for something new, but you’re confirming my fears.

Need replacement jack for stock TJ

I bought a stock TJ which looks like it had been wrecked and then fixed. It drives fine but I have had to fix quite a few things. It has new brakes, windshield, radio and some minor things. I also added a flat tow unit so that I can pull it behind my RV, which is the main reason for getting it...
