Does that size bolt the same as the bolts that hold the front roll bars to the windshield? I'm doing a similar roll cage exchange in my 98.

Good to know. I'm hunting one of the junkers near me and looks like I will snag a cage that's in good shape for about 200. I saw the Spyder cages but not wanting to drop 1600-2000 on a new cage quite yet.

All things considered should I look for a 2001 cluster or can I make the cluster from my 98 work with the '01 dash wiring?
