I tow this 5x8 trailer with my 03 Rubicon. On board power, RTT, 270° awning and a 12 volt frig. The tent rack lifts 16" for camping.

I had a question for @jjvw and I did not see how to PM someone. I'm headed to Grand Junction from Moab. I saw were you posted a route that would go through there. my question is would a 5 x 8 utility trailer make it to GJ from Moab?

Thanks for the reply. I'm the second owner. The OP put 91K on it the it now has 105K. I was thinking of upgrading the alternator anyway so maybe I'll start there. I'm planning on driving it 1800+ to TJ Fest so I don't want any issues.

I just replaced the clutch and radiator also raised the motor an inch and when I started it up this same sound started. Did anyone found out what it was or just replace everything up front. My water pump is new but the radiator leaked about a month later. How can you tell if it's the water pump?

I don't understand why the speed tune ring needs to come off. I don't see any seals beyond it. Am I missing something? Everything came off with removing the tune ring.

I'm going to start this project next weekend along with others. Planning on driving to the TJ Fest next spring which will be about 5000 mile trip. Thanks for all the info and tips.
