I had this problem the issue was the plug on the multifunction switch. Check there all of the wiring goes through there, then check the wire route from the passenger side under hood fusebox, a wire might be broken in the loom.

GROM audio makes an adapter that plugs into the factory radio. Not cheap but less of a theft concern.. I bought one used from a forum member and it works good

You can actually disable the steering wheel lock by removing the spring under the lack cylinder housing. I think it’s two Torx security screws, I’m zip tie the spring to the wires if I need to install lster

Usually a dealer security key to disable it, probably goes to the ignition wire bundle

I do the demco stay and play, I have one in both of my toad rigs

I got a smaller drill bit and rolled it around the outer ring on the inside to separate the rubber, the pushed it out with a hammer . The used a small sawzall metal bit to cot the outer ring… wen5 pretty fast this way.. burning them out didn’t work so well

I went through this in January with my KL I opened a claim with my insurance and let them work out the details with geico. Worked out for me as mine carrier ended up totaling it and I don’t think geico would have. Get a good body shop to look at it and check the frame measurements.
