Possible solutions for water leaks on passenger side

Fixed. I blew out the cowl and this helped a ton but I still had a small leak into the floor so I sealed around the old foam that goes around the spot where it punches through the firewall and that stopped it. Good to go, thanks!

Possible solutions for water leaks on passenger side

I put a coat hanger through from the front and wasn't able to pull anything out but I'll pull the cowl cover this weekend. Thanks!

Possible solutions for water leaks on passenger side

Yes, it’s pouring down the inside of the firewall there. The drain spout is through the wall there.

Possible solutions for water leaks on passenger side

I think I’ve got the same issue. Mine is leaking at the firewall. Pouring in pretty good regardless of motion so it’s not wind blowing back in. Should I cut out the existing foam and then work in silicon?

What did you do to your TJ today?

Installed a working radio. No more bluetooth speakers sitting on the dash! Alpine ilx-W650 with some new Kicker 4x6 up front and some JVC 6.5s that I had sitting around. Also put an Infinity BassLink Mini under the driver seat so that it is pretty well hidden. It sounds great!

Bull Dawg LJ Hardtop Initial Impressions

A new BullDawg top was put on our TJ shortly before we picked it up. This is my first TJ so I don't have knowledge of the original top but this one seems to be very well made and I think it looks great on the Jeep. Mine has fixed windows on the sides that do not pop up.

    Lift Dilemma

I dropped the pressure to 25 this morning and it definitely softened up the ride a touch and didn’t feel as spongy and I would have thought. Thanks for the suggestion!

    Lift Dilemma

Cohen here is showing where we can see that it is a 3” body lift.

    Lift Dilemma

The tires do have a load range “c” and they are at 35# all the way around. They are 33x15x12.5 and were put on the week before we drove it back to Memphis from Atlanta. So they’ve got about 500 miles. It seems like it rides pretty good for a Jeep but I still plan to put on some new shocks as...

    Lift Dilemma

Good points, and yes, the idea is to improve the ride on a budget if possible. I am new to Jeeps but I figured the stock shocks from '98 could be improved upon and I've seen a number of posts about how much new shocks can help. I was also surprised at the cost of the Rancho RS5000x along with...

    Lift Dilemma

Awesome, thanks for the advice! I do hope to swap out the body lift for an actual suspension lift at some point but with 4 boys 10 & under, that is going to have to come later. I saw some threads on measuring for bumpstops so I'll take a look there too.

    Lift Dilemma

Thanks for the recommendation, it is much appreciated but I guess I'm going to have to drive it as is. A whole new set of tires isn't in the budget right now.

    Lift Dilemma

We picked up my wife’s old ‘98 TJ last week. I’m new to Jeeps but she used to drive it when she was in high school. My father-in-law told me it had a 3” lift. I assumed it was a suspension lift but now that we’ve got it, I see that it is a body lift. I had been planning to replace the shocks...
