Was this a good idea or a bad idea?

One thing to clarify on the drivers side where we cut the access hole I did weld the nutsert partially before we closed up the access hole. It didn’t look like the nutsert was able to bend and clamp down as much as it should have. The reason we didn’t do that on the passenger side was because...

Was this a good idea or a bad idea?

I was replacing my body mount bushings and body lift and in the process I snapped off four body mount bolts... the two in the very rear and the two under the floorboards in the front. From some research I saw people use a hole saw to cut it out and weld in a new piece. We decided to cut an...

Jeep leaning after new lift install

Update: I pulled out the coils and one was slightly shorter than the other. So I decided to swap sides with the rear coils that that fixed the issue. I’m curious if it’s supposed to be that way though. Both coils have the same part number.

Jeep leaning after new lift install

I am in the process of installing a new metalcloak long arm lift on my 2000 Jeep TJ (Yes I know it’s metalcloak please don’t shoot me). I have the new lift in except for the track bars. But I noticed a strong lean to the passenger side, in the rear the passenger side sits an inch lower. In the...

What did you do to your TJ today?

The two in the rear by the bumper. There should be enough room there to weld on a nut and back them out. But the one basically under the drivers side floor board snapped way up inside. I am hoping we can drill that one out no sure what else to do. But yes, I have been doing a lot of other...

M.O.R.E. steering shaft bracket too tall

Same. I was putting in the PSC kit so while working on the steering I thought why not add this bracket just in case it helps marginally. Or at the least takes some of the strain off of the ujoints to make them last longer. So it’s not a big deal but I am curious why we are having issues when...

M.O.R.E. steering shaft bracket too tall

I understand that but I also bought the 4 cylinder bracket which M.O.R.E. says is a one inch lift but it’s actually a 1 3/4 inch higher. It still doesn’t add up.

M.O.R.E. steering shaft bracket too tall

We could probably have some people measure the height of their brackets and see if they are the same as ours. The odd part is though you posted a picture showing how short the stock bracket is and everyone else said theirs were taller..

M.O.R.E. steering shaft bracket too tall

Same problem. I had to drill the holes on the new bracket. I found that very odd like they didn’t know the bolt size.

M.O.R.E. steering shaft bracket too tall

I installed my bracket today and had the exact same problem as you. My stock bracket was really short and the new one raised it 1 3/4 inches as well. It caused my steering bar to hit the firewall too. I have an inch body lift and am putting on a 1.25 inch body lift so I am hoping that will be...

Catalytic converters parts for a 2000 TJ 4.0L

Another potential problem I have. I saw the 02 thread that lists out the part numbers for the o2 sensors. It was a very good and helpful thread. My Jeep was originally a 4 cylinder and the previous owner converted it to a 6 cylinder. I was told the motor was from a 2001 Jeep. I noticed in that...

Catalytic converters parts for a 2000 TJ 4.0L

I’m trying to find the catalytic converters for my 2000 4.0L Jeep. I bought my Jeep many years ago and it didn’t have the cats in it so looking to finally put them back on. I’d really like to get rid of the permanent check engine light. My Jeep throws codes for bank two sensor 2 not reading...

Do sPOD and ARB twin compressor mounts fit together?

I’m trying to find an installation guide/example to mount the compressor on the ABS tray but can’t find one. Does anyone know of a good one? I’m just trying to find out if I need to buy anything else so I can plan it out.

Do sPOD and ARB twin compressor mounts fit together?

Thanks everyone! It sounds like the ABS tray is the way to go.

Do sPOD and ARB twin compressor mounts fit together?

It does not have ABS but I am also installing metalcloak fenders which I believe gets rid of that tray.

Do sPOD and ARB twin compressor mounts fit together?

I just bought an sPOD switch for my 2000 TJ 4.0L (it is still being shipped) I also decided to buy the ARB twin air compressor. I’ve seen that the sPOD typically gets mounted right above the engine and the ARB compressor gets mounted right next to the engine above the intake manifold. Does...

Should I install a straight pipe?

My Jeep doesn’t have the cats and has a flow master exhaust. It sounds great but is pretty loud. I want to go to something more quiet.
