    Anybody Recognize This Steering Linkage?

Nah its aftermarket T-steering. Stock steering linkage is an inverted Y-steering setup. I'm just seeing if anybody recognizes the brand of kit by sight so I can find the right rod ends. There's no markings on it anywhere. Looks like a 1-ton steering kit.

    Anybody Recognize This Steering Linkage?

G'day all, Just finished up doing some track bar work, and while I was down there I noticed the driver's side tie rod end needs replaced, and I'm having some trouble determining the aftermarket drag link and tie rod that the PO installed. Anybody recognize this drag link / tie rod...

    Front Track Bar Clearance

Yeah I think I'm done here. I'm going to take a crack at modifying the track bar. Depending on how well that works out, I might end up with a Curie, we'll just see how it goes. I was honestly expecting some pretty useful input. I think I'll just ask friends of friends going forward.

    Front Track Bar Clearance

Allow me to elaborate: The track bar that was on it when I bought it. The rest of the jeep was 100% stock except for the 33" KM2s, so I'm assuming it is the OEM track bar. Not sure why the PO would change nothing except the track bar with a bone stock front end.

    Front Track Bar Clearance

Next time I'm wheeling without springs, I will keep this in mind. Find me another locker that doesn't rely on a dedicated air system (way more stuff to break), I don't need to cut up my interior for (manual shift cables), and is reliable (looking at you E-locker). I'll wait. You go play with...

    Front Track Bar Clearance

So, at the end of the day, it looks like there are a few things I could do that would make the most sense. 1. Buy an adjustable trackbar and make it fit as suggested. Probably best option, maybe more expensive, but would be "proper", I agree. 2. Bend this trackbar and see how it goes. Check...

    Front Track Bar Clearance

Just the stock track bar. Could just heat it with a torch and bend it out of the way. Problem solved.

    Front Track Bar Clearance

Picture was from install about a year ago. It's not missing any bolts. I just don't have any recent pictures. I suppose I'll consider it... I never planned for a lift. That is going to have a lot of downstream effects. Edit: Besides the needed 1 1/2" body lift for the tummy tuck I'm planning.

Full-Wave Rectifier / LED Turn Signals

Rummaging around in my components drawer I found some 0.1u 250V film caps. That'll do.

Full-Wave Rectifier / LED Turn Signals

OK. I think I have some sitting around actually.

Full-Wave Rectifier / LED Turn Signals

Simply because I enjoy it. That's it. RE capacitor, I just added the space. I'm not going to populate it for this application.

Full-Wave Rectifier / LED Turn Signals

All, After installing high-clearance fender flares, I replaced the side markers with round 3/4" LED marker lights. Since the (at least the post-facelift) side markers use current one direction for marker and the other direction for turn signal flashing, these LEDs pretty quickly smoked...

    Front Track Bar Clearance

I'm not sure what you are talking about with the amount of work. Swapping the locker for another one sounds like way more work (and more money) than modifying the TB.

    Front Track Bar Clearance

Digging back through my photos from install, here's the current gen OX on my Dana 30. Note the really close trackbar.

    Front Track Bar Clearance

So yes, I know the current setup is not ideal, else I wouldn't be here asking for suggestions. It's still a work in progress. The decision for the OX came after a trip to Moab when I had owned the Jeep for less than a month, and it had an open front diff. It had the 33s (the exact tires...

    Front Track Bar Clearance

Hey all, Looking to see if anybody knows of a front track bar mount relocation kit or some such for the TJ. I have an 03 with an OX locker in the Dana 30. The nice heavy cast diff cover does NOT clear the track bar, and it has a tendency to break the shifter cable threads at the diff cover. Jeep...

Console Wiring for OX Locker and Roof Lights

All, Just wanted to document my recent completion of a cab accessory rewire in case someone else wants to do something similar. I ordered some aftermarket switches for the two blanks in my 2003 center console for my front OX locker and my roof lights. Here's the switches I ordered (the wiring...

    GMRS or HAM radio?

Best place for online amateur radio tests is GLAARG. Best place to study is Ham Study. I'll be honest my opinion on this thread is biased. I'm a full time RF engineer and nerd. Whether to go GMRS or HAM radio depends on what you want to do. You just want to talk to your buddies nearby? GMRS...

It works just fine - only annoying thing is that whenever you take it out of the dock you have to flip the screen in Windows settings. I use a bluetooth USB keyboard with a built-in trackpad when the toughbook is in the dock. That solution is pretty slick.
