Popped out the freeze plugs. Gross! Couldn't get the (original) drain plug out. Ran to HF to grab a larger wrench and some fire.

So I'm assuming I should drain the coolant and replace all the plugs while I have the manifold off, correct? Or attempt to seal? So far on this particular job. Replaced the valve cover gasket, PCV valve, breather valve. Cleaned the throttle body Cleaned the injectors and replaced the "O" rings...

Replaceing the manifold and found that 2 of these are leaking oil. After a few minutes of searching I can't figure out their name. 97 4.0

I was torqueing the bolts to my motor mounts and found this bracket/part between the motor and the mount bracket. Passenger side. Any ideas what it is?

Mind listing the products you used? After I get my 97 running, I plan on doing a total interior referb.

I ended up ordering the NTK from Advance. They haven't canceled the order yet, so we'll see. The Denso will be my next attempt if Advance does cancel the order. Thanks for the link.

Also, I tried to order the Upstream sensor for the 97 4.0. NTK Part # 23151 Rock Auto had 1 left. Unfortunately they sent me a out of stock notice soon after I placed the order. Then I got the item discontinued notice. Looks like more early TJ parts on the chopping block.

This thread has been very helpful! Small victory a couple days ago. I was able to get the CC plug out. It took PB blaster, and the torch to get it to bust free. Double hinged ratchet helped too. 10mm Hex. Installed the new downstream sensor.

I dropped the skid today to take a closer look at the CC and to re-run the x-case, the transmission, and the fuel pump wiring. Looks like an aftermarket, Eco II CC that does have a o2 sensor plug in the body. I think I'm going to order the downstream sensor and attempt to install it correctly...

I'm sure the Transfer case blowout took out the original catalytic converter. I'll probably drop the skid in the next few days and try to get a good look at the CC. I'm thinking now that there's no place to put the downstream sensor, that's why they tucked it up into the frame. The upstream...

This mod is pretty fantastic for the price. I installed it last week as well. Although my Jeep hasn't been started in nearly 7 years, when I DO get it running, I'll have some decent lights.
