42RLE Slow Reverse to drive shift

Im planning on taking my LJ into the transmission shop over spring break to try and solve this issue once and for all. But before I do that, I'd like to see if guys can help me diagnose the problem first. Either to see if it's something I could fix myself or what I should ask the shop to look...

    Are Moog trackbars any good?

Im looking to replace my OEM trackbar, as the frame side ball joint/grease boot are starting to show their age. Since these can't be replaced on their own, I'll need to replace the whole track bar. I originally planned to replace it with a Moog trackbar, but I've found mixed opinions on Moog...

Code P300 and rough running in the heat

Recently I’ve noticed that at the higher temps outside 90s to 100 degrees F, my engine has been running roughly. In the past I’ve had to do the fix where you add insulation around one of the injectors due to heat. I’m curious if this heat could be the culprit behind my misfire and how I could go...

    How to fix door bulge?

I replaced the weather strip and now the door won’t shut properly. I had to push the upper part of it in and lower part won’t close all the way. Do the new seals need to compress or something?

    Continued O2 sensor troubles

A few months ago I started intermittently getting the CEL code p-0133. So I got a replacement sensor from NTK and tried replacing it. Tips on cleaning up this rust

The rest of the frame only has surface rust, but I noticed this rust on the to last rear cross member while installing mud flaps. My dad suggested cleaning off some of the surface rust with a wire brush and then painting it with some rust converter. Was wondering if y’all had any other suggestions

Tube bumpers that will work with a class 2 hitch

I'm looking for a full width tube bumper that will work with a class 2 trailer hitch. l I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't something that exists (google searches have given me no useful results). I know they often come with a hitch pre installed but id like to maintain the ability to use the...

    Options for protecting rear fender

My Lj has the premium package on it (or at least I think that's what its called) which among other things means the fenders are painted to match the body color. I have used the jeep in gravel and dirt more than the original owner ever did and now the paint on the leading edge of the rear fenders...

Do the milk jugs serve a real purpose?

Recently I had to take off the rear bumper extensions on my jeep so that I could install the smittybilt src roof rack. It brought a question to mind. What purpose do the bumper extensions actually serve, or were they meant to serve? If they were to actually protect the vehicle they would be made...
