    Spare key?

    Recently took my factory grey key to wally world to have spare cut. Counter person ran it over some sensor thing and said "nope ... no chip". I was surprised as my '01 dodge was. Was he mistaken or does my bare bones '04 not have a chip? I have both original keys btw.
