Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

Smart to just go get the other one. You may be able to sell off some of the parts you won't be using using to recoup some $$. I was able to do that when I bought a different motor after I had a seized piston. I was able to sell the old block, heads, cam and crank.

Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

Rick, I'm so sorry to see those cracks. That totally sucks. Do you think the cam bearing install cracked the block or bad cam or something else?

    1997 TJ 4.0 to LS 5.3 Gen 3 Swap

The Novak prices are really high for sure, but it's nice to have a list. I have their tach emulator and fuel pump integration system. My buddy bought a built TH400 trans for his LS swap from Novak and they didn't build it correctly. He had to spend $1700 to a local shop for the correct parts...

LS swap: which gauges should I use?

My buddy has been running his LS for about 4 years using the GM PCM and didn't have any issues as he went with a stock 6.0. As you know from my build the aftermarket cam really makes the Holley Terminator X the easiest way to go. I hear where you are coming from though.

LS swap: which gauges should I use?

Yes, I have the stock Jeep computer and a Holley Terminator X to run the LS. I not going to lie, I don't find it an issue at all for me. The Jeep computer basically just runs everything but the motor. What is the issue that I don't seem to see?

LS swap: which gauges should I use?

Hey now, don't hurt my feelings. As far as gauges go I stuck with stock and the only thing I needed was the tach emulator from Novak for the tach. I have another friend would got his tach to work without an emulator. Then another friend who went full Holley for wiring and gauges.

The room is there, I think I mistakenly threw the canister away. I'm glad I can cap it off if I can't find it. Thanks for the info!

How To LS Swap Your TJ

Thanks for the diagram. I'm using a truck intake from an 02 Tahoe. I saw a video that shows a little port on the passenger side that you just twist off. Another issue I have is I no longer have item 8 from the diagram. Do you think I can just plug that end?

How To LS Swap Your TJ

I noticed that since I did my swap I only get heat from the defrost vent. I searched and found I need to somehow connect the tiny vacuum line that used to connect to the Jeep manifold. How have people done this with an LS Swap?

Tummy tuck What transfer case skid do you use

Sorry, I'm just see this now. I assumed that SYE and adjustable CAs were already there. All of the other advice you have received here covers it. I have an LS and 1 ton swapped rig now with a different skid so any advice I can give is from past experience.

I'm glad you were able to make it work. The extra bends in the arm seem to do the trick for clearance. Nicely done!
