    Pbr's 2000 TJ Sport

Thanks to everyone on the cooling system thread. Found the mopar radiator I needed at rock auto. Theromstat was bad, so I replaced that as well today. Here's the POS the prior owner installed: And here's everything back together: Had to run to the hardware store for bolts--prior owner...

Jeep Wrangler TJ Cooling System Overhaul FAQ

Thanks so much guys! The parts book has helped reassure me and I found a slightly less confusing mopar catalog to check P/N supersessions.

Jeep Wrangler TJ Cooling System Overhaul FAQ

I need to overhaul my cooling system--radiator is leaking. I looked up parts based on this thread (2000 TJ I-6, manual trans) and the P/N for the radiator in the heading is showing as not compatible in the Amazon link and the mopar sites I'm checking. Anyone have access to a service manual or...

    Pbr's 2000 TJ Sport

Back at it, trying to get ready for warm weather. Found a factory stereo from a Grand Cherokee and swapped that out. It has a CD player and tape deck both to replace the tape deck in mine. Works like a champ, was an easy swap, and has brought the factory speakers in my TJ to life. Night and day...

    Pbr's 2000 TJ Sport

Found a receiver after digging through old threads here. Curt 13408 Class III 2". Easy install, once you get the bolts off the frame--I thought I would have to use an extractor but ended up hammering them out of a rigid power wrench and some wd40. Got it on, going to check back in a couple of...

    Pbr's 2000 TJ Sport

I just finished wiring in a switch for my interior dome light. Thanks for pointing out the fuse, Quigley! I got some bumper caps to replace the milk jugs and am searching for something to paint the bumpers. Either bed liner or a flat black rattle can. If anyone has suggestions or pictures, I'd...

    Pbr's 2000 TJ Sport

The deck cover is great. I really enjoy the combo of the top and cover. Mine is a Bestop Duster, they were on sale for memorial day--got it half off, which was the most I was willing to pay for it anyway.

    Pbr's 2000 TJ Sport

I purchased a 2000 TJ last year and have been slowly working on all of the cosmetic stuff first. Hard top, no A/C. Here's how it looked when I bought it. I got a Trektop for the summer right after I got the TJ. You guys helped me get the header figured out and on the first time: This week...

What OBDII tool do you use to diagnose your Jeep

I use an ANCEL AD410 for all my vehicles. It'll do live data, code lookup, etc. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071FSNL73/?tag=wranglerorg-20

    Seat cover suggestions

I love my bartact covers. I got the red insert to sorta match my paint and it hasn't faded yet (almost a year later). Dig you MT wheels, they're on my list to get! Did you paint your fender flares?

    Good soft tops?

Bestop tops come with everything you need. My TJ also came with a hardtop that I use in winter and full doors. I have the Bestop Trektop NX, but I think I prefer the factory style Supertops now that I've seen them at local meets. The Trektop sacrifices some cargo area and I keep my TJ in the...

    Good soft tops?

I went with the bestop trektop nx. It was a pain to install the first time last summer, but that's a good thing. It's a tight fit, doesn't leak and looks great. The only thing that bugs me is trying to store the back and side windows. I can't find a good arrangement for that while driving around.

    Trektop NX header

It took some fighting, but following the directions above I was able to get it on last night. I put it in the garage for a week with everything loose to let the fabric stretch. Then yesterday I pressed the header until I got the hooks in, left them unlatched and worked my way to the back closing...

    Trektop NX header

Thanks for the tips, guys. I disconnected everything and attempted to close the latches to the header. With it disconnected I can almost make it. I might try to get some clamps in there; can't make it go with finger strength.

    Trektop NX header

I've just purchased my first Jeep. It's a lot of fun and came with a hard top. So, I purchased a Trektop NX and attempted to install it yesterday. Everything came together great except for the front--it won't latch over the header. It just kind of sits on the header without really joining...
