32RH transmission fluid leaking from bellhousing

Unfortunately, it wasn’t just overfilled. I haven’t fixed it yet since the leak is so small and it’s not the easiest job. I’m not wheeling it so the fix can wait. Jerry’s previous recommendation on the input shaft seal will be what I attempt to fix when the time comes.

    Hood replacement recommendations

Hey TJ Community, I have hail damage on my current hood. It happened many years ago so an insurance claim is not in the picture. I am just looking for recommendations on a good replacement hood. I have a dark blue color scheme with blacktop so I thought a black hood might look pretty good. I’m...

    Bearing Noise Location

Turned out to be the idler pulley. I took the belt off, spun the idler pulley and boom. Bearing grinding noise. Easy 10 minute fix. Now she purrs nicely.

    Bearing Noise Location

Hey, Jeep Community. I am trying to locate the problem with this bearing noise when first starting my Jeep. It will do it without fail when it is cold and will continue until it reaches operating temperature. I attached a video link of the sound but it’s hard to tell where it is coming from. I...

32RH transmission fluid leaking from bellhousing

Ok, I honestly don't think it was leaking as I never had to replace any transmission fluid. So, I will be hoping it was just overfilled. Thanks, Jerry!

32RH transmission fluid leaking from bellhousing

Ok, I will give it a while to see if it stops. And thank you for the insight and knowledge, Jerry, I really appreciate it. You seem to be the go to guy on the forum. Thank you, again.

32RH transmission fluid leaking from bellhousing

Thank you for the reply Jerry. I actually did overfill the transmission to begin with. I went and got a siphon after driving it only maybe 10 miles to get it and sucked out the extra. However, since doing that, the transmission fluid has been right where it should be, testing in neutral at...

    Jeep is overheating at idle

I am currently on my 3rd radiator. Most aftermarket are cheap and crack. Anyway, my problem with overheating went away after changing the thermostat. It would get stuck and the jeep would overheat really quickly. After getting the thermostat replaced it hasn't overheated once. Given that you...

32RH transmission fluid leaking from bellhousing

Hello, Jeep community. I just successfully changed the RMS on my 4.0 a day ago. I have had oil leaking the for many years and always just thought it was oil, which it may have been. Now that I have fixed that leak, I noticed I am leaking tranny fluid from the bottom of the bell housing. About a...

    Rear Main Seal Bearing Cracked!!

Thank you for the tips. I like the first one and agree with the rest. At this point after spending almost a day trying to get this fixed and not trying to spend what it would have cost me to get it repaired by a shop, I will put this bearing back on and drive the shit out of it and hope it...

Thank you for the tip. I will check it out if I don't just put this bearing back in there, drive the shit out of it and let it be what it shall be. :)

    Rear Main Seal Bearing Cracked!!

Thanks for the help guys. I can't afford to have it completely torn apart. So, I will try to find the replacement bearing for the bottom. To me it definitely has a hairline crack clearly through it, but the crank looks clean and in good shape. The problem I was having is trying to find that part...

    Rear Main Seal Bearing Cracked!!

Also, if that is not cracked, am I able to put this part back on or would I need to replace it?

    Rear Main Seal Bearing Cracked!!

Im not sure what an oil groove is but the crank looked good. Its dark here in Texas so I will have to take more pictures tomorrow. This is my first time looking at these parts but from looking at pictures of other posts on here of their bearings they are smooth and don't look like this. Thanks...

    Rear Main Seal Bearing Cracked!!

I am pretty sure it is a crack. I took a really good picture. Were you not able to zoom in on the large picture? I can feel with my fingernail that there is a groove/crack all the way through it. Thanks for the response.

    Rear Main Seal Bearing Cracked!!

Hello, my fellow Jeep enthusiasts. I took on the test of changing my rear main seal in 4.0 2002 TJ Wrangler X. After some struggle with the down pipes and stuck bolts, 4 hours later I was finally able to get to the rear main seal bearing cap. After removing it I noticed that the bearing sleeve...
