Magic Gas Tank (Not Your Average Slow Filling Thread!)

I wanted a title that would communicate the unique nature of my refuling issue to avoid being linked to that same tired old thread about 05 & 06 TJs and their splashback valves (with the video of the mechanic who looks right at a TJ and calls it a Cherokee). At the moment, my biggest regret in...

Low idle revs and jerky ride

A few weeks before, I drove my TJ thru a river, it wasnt that deep, (almost tire height) and when I come back from the trail, the idle was really high (2,000) and driving in 2 gear when I press the gas, it feels jerky, the bad ones, they make you jump in the seat. Back in the garage, I get a...

    LJ fuel tank capacity question

As I haven't owned my Unlimited for very long yet, I wanted to test the low fuel light; It works! I was surprised that when I went to fill up, I only got 14.5 gallons into the tank. The spec sheet indicates a 19 gallon capacity. What's going on here? Surely there's not a almost 5 gallon reserve...

It poured all 3 days due to hurricane laurence and so the gas tank was a least halfway submerged but due to water in the cab, i'm thinking it was at some point fully submerged in the water. When I got pulled out and started the car and drove it...

    What is this part?

Hello all, I have a 2004 wrangler. My Anti drain back valve on my fuel pump went bad so I am replacing my fuel pump with a Bosch one as per many recommendations on this and other Jeep forums. When I was dropping the gas tank I stupidly didn't notice one line connected to a small white valve in...

    That Pesky Fuel Gauge

I know that many Wranglers are known for having inaccurate or flat out unresponsive fuel gauges. I knew that going in however, my gauge has always been spot on since I bought it about a year ago. Now the stupid thing is consistently showing 1/8 of a tank less than what I know is actually in...
