My 2005 TJ Willys won't start. I have power, radio, etc. Seemed to be cranking slower? Came out from the store and nothing. No sound, clicking nothing.

I'm thinking starter? Alternator? Just not sure. I'm a novice mechanic. Help!

Sounds battery related. Puts out enough power to run the radio but not enough to start the engine.

Remove, wire brush/clean the battery connections and battery posts. Reinstall and tightly reinstall them. If that doesn't help have the battery "load tested" by a battery specialist. A load test is the only way to know the battery's true health.

Could be the ignition switch or the ignition actuator, which is prone to break without warning.

check to see if it will start in neutral. that's happened to me where the gear shift linkage got out of adjustment.
