Hey, recently my Jeep's Automatic Shifters bezel aka (that plastic piece that should be twenty bucks) has completely broke seemly due to age sense its like a dark brown tent. But the price the companys want for the piece is outrageous! But nobody seems to talk about it so I found this piece and I to know if it would fit my 1999 Jeep Wrangler despite the fact its a 2005

Have you called Davey's to see if he has a good used piece?

A lot of people that don't design, manufacture and market products express that opinion. ;)

I would expect that piece to be more TBH. There are TJ part-outs on here fairly regularly. It shouldn’t be too difficult to find used somewhere.

The last part: I wouldn't really complain about it if the Jeep Cherokee's of the same year wasn't 30 dollars. Its obvious the piece has been inflated due to "scarcity"

I'm confused. That bezel has been way overpriced for normal folks for decades. I've done a lot of auto trans swaps and have tried to purchase that new and was always turned off by the $200+ price tag.

But, to answer your question, yes it will fit in the hole in the console. What will be different between it and the earlier shift indicators is the presence of the OD symbol that the early ones do not have.

Thanks man, I didn't know this piece has always been this expensive kinda odd. So is this a good alternative you would say or no?
