Hello!

New to the TJs. I picked up a yard jeep . It was an animal shelter; It had not been turned on for many many years, it would not shift out of park.

The old owner kindly power washed the interior for me, I let her dry out over night. Next day, I put a fresh battery in her, toped up the fluids, removed some dead animals from inside the engine compartment. After a few cranks she ran and shifted out of park! I drove her 3ft brakes worked; so drove her down the back roads home, slowly on about 5 psi.

Reverse did not work, and when I went to drain the pan half of what poured out was water. So I pulled the transmission, all the reverse clutch packs were melted. As you can see the charred black packs in the lower right.

How not to install a transmission. It was the hardest part. Also used the wrong paint on transmission, but mmeh too late now.

Shift linkage needed to get creative on the install.

Right now I'm about half way through installing a 2.5 inch lift.
