So need some help troubleshooting. 2004 4.0 auto. I'm getting no juice to the starter signal wire. Things I've tested.
1. swapped starter relay still nothing.
2. checked fuses, all look good.
3. Weird, but if I put the key in the on position, and I run a test wire from the solenoid to the battery it will turn over but still doesn't start, course that could be from sitting for a long while
Next I'm planning on pulling apart the steering wheel to see if the ignition switch is broken. Is there anything else I should check/double check first? I really hate electrical issue.....
All of this started after I pulled the starter to make it easier to put the oil pan back on. I also had the battery out as well as the exhaust from the manifold. When I got it all back together, that's when it wouldn't start. Is this all coincidental? I should mention the ignition switch is a bit funky, given that the steering wheel doesn't lock and you can pull the key out once the ignition is running.
