Have had P1692 code with check engine light on and no speedometer.
The Jeep runs fine besides no speedometer and check engine light on. Happened when battery was disconnected for a bit. Have swapped out speed sensor, gauge cluster, and have had eco checked by dealer. Dealership says that there are no dtc’s stored in ecm, but cluster says there is and new cluster says the same thing. Plugged in diagnostic reader and drove around and can read mph on that, but speedo doesn’t work. Has anyone dealt with this or have a fix. I can’t figure this out and it seems like no one else on the internet has either. Any help would be very much appreciated....
