Hi all new here just purchased a black 2005 Rubicon 6 speed with 100k miles. has 2.5" SL and 2" BL.

I am wanting to pull the trigger on 255/85R16 KM3's to put on my 16" moabs, but I am hesitant due to the fact that they are E load rated.

Anybody here run this specific tire?
Would appreciate any input, thanks!

I ran this tire size on my Tacoma- e-load but in a Dick Cepek brand. I run a “Skinny” 33-10.5- 15 BFG At-on the Jeep. 2.5” lift-I like running the larger diameter but not the width to simply my lift requirements. Works for my needs.

You don’t have much option as I recall in that size with the load range- I went DC to get the lightest weight and the ride was just fine. I think if you compared that weight of tire to the 285/75/16 c range your probably not going to be much difference.

I wouldn't worry about it. Your Rubicon came from the factory with E rated tires. I run E rated tires on my 16 inch rims with no complaints.

That’s been my go to size for the last ten years. They work great on the factory rubicon rims. I have run two sets of LT255/85r16 bfg km2. Running toyo mt in LT255/85r16 for the last two years now. Made suspension updates yet this tire size remains

Awesome thanks, got them installed and fit good except for some rubbing on front roll bar at full lock or a bit less

I run a 1" spacer to get the factory rim to have the offset needed. 4 1/2 on a 8"rim- But you can also adjust the steering stops on the spindles and limit the steering to not rub or just dont turn the wheel so far.... anyways a couple of options
