Hello! Some of you may remember me asking about transmission swaps and such. I have an 06 tj wth a limping 42rle transmission that has been overheated several times in its past and is in need of a replacement. I have decided to just do a straight swap into a remanufactured unit and add a cooler (as recommended). I was curious if anyone has done this before and had any input on where I should buy from and where I shouldn't. I plan on doing the swap myself as I have all of the tools and the time set aside to complete this type of job. I know most on here use the derale cooler with the 42rle? I'm looking into getting a remanufactured unit from Xtreme Performance? Anyone know anything about that company? Any insight would be much appreciated, thanks!
