Jeep goes in to 4wd high but falls out, not into 2wd, but just slightly toward neutral, but not all the way, just enough to no longer be in 4wd. I can feel some play in the shifter in the 4wd high area. Goes in to Neutral and 4wd low fine, and stays there. It's just the 4wd high. Anyone know what's wrong? Is there an adjustment I need to make to the stock shifter?

The transfer case shifter mechanism can get out of adjustment if the shift rod that is supposed to be held by a lock bolt slips. That bolt has a 1/2" bolt head, the mechanism can be easily adjusted but you have to get under the Jeep.

Here is the mechanism with the bolt circled in red, you can see the rod that the bolt is supposed to hold in adjustment. You can sometimes see the original mark on the rod made by the bolt to help figure out where the factory originally adjusted it.

I'll go get under the Jeep. Thanks Jerry!
