UPDATES! 7/11/26
She runs, she drives.
Now the not so good. Early on I was getting speed sensor faults randomly, turns out the VSS on my SYE had died. Got test info from Teraflex had to replace. But I think I was late and wiped my transmission. Limited OD unless warm and torque converter is like 1/2 locked all the time, shift, flares once warm between second and third.
My other issue is now that it’s shifting kind of right I have a misfire issue that seems to be on cylinders six and eight started doing the research on it and the ram computer apparently has six and eight tagged together in the ECU but the CJ wiring harness does not so I think I gotta make one more jumper wire.
Overall, for a wiring harness that I built over the course of 2 1/2 days and got it up and running, and the only thing I was dealing with was a speedo issue, which turned out to be a bad VSS I’m pretty pleased with it. it’d be nice though I actually know how this thing runs and does between the slippery transmission and the erratic shifts and the misfire. I still haven’t got to view 100% performance. I’m also burning a little bit rich, but I think that’s due to the lack of O2’s. I’ve gotta redo the exhaust. It’s too short and no place to put them..
I just thought seeing there was quite a few people watching this post and many of you that were helping me which I’m very grateful and thankful of. I did put a lot of this on YouTube. I just wanted to come back and give you guys an update and let you know I’m still gonna be active on the forum and I will be bringing back some more information as I figure out what all I got going on.
You really only need the upstream O2.... You can delete the downstream and it will still run OK...
Wish you were a little closer.. Or if you feel like a road trip...... I've got a built 46RE transmission. It was built to handle the stroker 5.9 which made it into a 6.7 so it was made to handle 600HP. This was also built to handle the larger tires I was running.
But glad you've got it running.
If it makes you feel any better I had to have my original 44RE rebuilt after the 1st year due to the STaKs t-case going bad from flat towing it and it'd fried all my clutches.
Might have to make a trip if price is right it’s really my only issue.
