Hi all,

I'm down to the last steps and I'm in over my head.

I have a 98' TJ that was body/frame swapped with a 04' LJ and I'm now thinking my dash harness is a 02-04
Donor is a 96' ZJ.

I kept the ZJ engine, trans and motor/trans harness as well as the ZJ computer without SKIM.

My issue is the (TJ) C103 & C104 are 14pin plugs and the (ZJ)C131 & C132 are 10 pins.

I have FSM's for both. But I'm lost as to what wires to more.
This is my hold up to keep it from starting..

They're not a Plug & Play swap... There's about 14 wire in total you have to blend together.....

A lot of you questions might get answered in this thread... It's about the best Magnum swap thread I've ever found.

Not sure about your dash... If you have 02-04 dash wiring then it's PCI buss but your PCM is a CCD buss. Also your GC PCM still might not work even if the SKIM was eliminated.

Here's some cheat sheets I found that might help also...

YA I hit the BCM wall - sourcing a RAM ECU now..

I'll take a look I've been at the search and FSM stuff for well over 12 hours since yesterday.

That link I've been over and they use a manual so it don't help in the transmission stuff.

Auto doesn't matter... You want to blend your TJ harness into the GC harness....

Then you'll have to wire in power to the transmission in the PDC.

OK....

So if your dash wring is for a 02 & newer that makes it a PCI buss while a 01 & older is a CCD buss...

Then another issue that I just recently found out about is a newer PCM may not control the older transmission properly....

I'm not 100% sure what my wiring is. Color code does seem to match the 98' which is what my dash come from.
And I know my gauge cluster is from a 98'

Pull your dash and look at the plugs.... CCD plugs are different from PCI plugs.

Look at a FSM for a 98 & 02...

So - I need to merge my Jeep harness and the GC harness,
Run a 98-01 RAM computer

Waiting on info for ECU part#.

Sorry so many questions the motor is in Jeep and it's down to just wiring this up to finish it. And I have a event I need to be at in 2 weeks. (Mesick, MI Jeep Blessing).

Bit over loaded on the wiring. It's the 1 part was was affraid of and now it's here.

All the Orange ?? are my unknowns - I think I have everything else worked out. Still need to tap into the ECU wires..

My brain is a little fuzzy but if I remember correctly Orange wires are ground???

@pc1p

Can you guys chime in & help out...

You need to look at the pinouts & the wiring diagrams....

But Yes with an auto swap you want to use the GC engine/transmission harness & then blend into it the TJ PDC harness & body harness.

You'll go from this

This is AI so take it for what it's worth... But compatibility is these

  • Interchangeable Part Numbers: 56046343AA, 56046343AB, 56046343AC, 56046343AD, 56046343AE, 56046343AF, 56046343AH.
I went through 4 PCM's when I did my 5.2 swap before I found a good one.
