98 Engine Wiring Harness Compatibility

I have a 1998 4.0, Automatic that needs all harnesses (engine, dash, rear body) replaced (they're completely and totally chewed through by rats). I know the obvious answer is to replace all three with identical harnesses, but I'm having trouble finding the engine harness in particular.

Mopar support told me I need the following part numbers:
- Engine: 56041443AA
- Dash: 56010350AB
- Rear Body: 56010164AD

Does anyone know what other engine harnesses might be compatible for me? I found this one below on ebay, but the part number 56010285AD seems to indicate it's for a manual.

Thanks for the help. One note: this won't be a daily driver and will probably be ranch use only. I don't particularly care about ABS and other options.

You have several options

#1. Goto www.car-part.com which is a nationwide Junkyard database. Call and inquire on any option that looks good and they can inspect, pull, and ship

#2. Since this is NOT a daily driver, you can go aftermarket with manufacturers like Painless Wiring or American Autowire, and order Metripack kits

I myself opted for option 2 on my 2 classic GMs with custom LSx powered drivetrains. You may need some help for the ECM pinouts,

You can call B&R here in the PNW...they ship nationwide. They're usually pretty harsh on harnesses and just hack them out of the way...if they have something in the Eugene/Springfield yard I'd be more than happy to do the pulling.

I have most of a 99 4 cylinder harness from my last debacle. It's yours if you want it. Dash harness has the instrument cluster hacked off and there isn't an engine harness or ECU.

Sure wish someone would look these up and make new ones. But I think every model year has like 4 plus harnesses between abs, 4 and 6 cylinders, auto and manual.

Another suggestion is an LS swap. You can probably get a 5.3 and a complete harness at a junkyard for less than a grand. Little more for a 6L80 and a 231C.
