Hello everyone,
My sons 99 4.0 would not start this morning. It turns over just like it always has, no clicking or anything, but it doesn't catch.

I sprayed starter fluid down the throttle body and nothing, so it must be spark.

I unhooked a plug wire and used another plug to check for spark and nothing...for about 3 seconds of it turning over, then it caught! I had my son turn it off, I put the plug wire back on the plug and it starts fine now.

I did notice the oil pressure is pegged at 80, which is unusual...it's always in 20-40 range.

I have read a bunch of posts and some say the oil pressure sending unit may have an affect on the starting. This is new to me.

I was planning on doing cap/rotor and new coil and plug wires (plugs are new) but not sure if I need to change the oil pressure sending unit as well...or if it could be something else I am missing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
