AEV Pintler wheels

So the wife wants to get rid of the pimpin' wheels on her JK. We went through the catalogs and she came up with the AEV Pintler wheels.

Looking around, it seems that there is / was an issue with those wheels cracking. It looks like they are fragile when you bounce them off of rocks. I understand that most all wheels are fragile if you bounce them off of rocks, but the Pintlers seem more fragile than most.

Anyone know anything about that?
 
Thanks @Tristan . I hear that AEV is good about replacing the wheels that crack, but man, $235 a wheel plus the r&r sounds like a dumb choice.

Yeah I agree. they have some beautiful wheels but I couldn't see myself spending that kind of money only to replace them down the line. rather buy them once and be done.
 
They used to be Made in America but since so few of us want to pay the Made in America price they are now made offshore.

Go figure. Hopefully my OE Rubicon Moab wheels aren't made in China... I really am quite fond of them.
