Hi all, recently replaced the nylon strapping between the hood bows for the soft top and the left one has already torn off through the rivets.
Has anyone improved on this design? I’m thinking about drilling a hole through the hood bows at the same spots but the hole would go right though, then just having a piece of rope, knotted at either end so it doesn’t pull though the bow, but does anyone know if that will weaken the bow itself too much?
editing to add a bit more info, o’’m only talking about drilling out (on each corner) one rivet hole to maybe 5mm, I’m more concerned about adding a hole through the other side. Hope that makes sense
